THEN HE SAID TO HIS DISCIPLES, “THE HARVEST IS PLENTIFUL BUT THE WORKERS ARE FEW. ASK THE LORD OF THE HARVEST, THERFORE, TO SEND OUT WORKERS INTO HIS HARVEST FIELD.” MATTHEW 9:37-38

OUR MISSION IS TO EQUIP AND LAUNCH JESUS DISCIPLES TO THE MISSION FIELD FOR THE END-TIME HARVEST
-
You will cross many African frontiers with our evangelistic convoy, and rub shoulders with every department head. You will learn by doing the work of an evangelist and be coached in the entire process.
-
During your time in Kilgoris, Kenya you will receive a powerful mix of sound biblical teaching to build a firm foundation and a strong inner life where you can be led by the Holy Spirit.
-
During the 7-8 months of the Harvest Internship the Book of Acts will come alive. Our missionaries apart of the festival team and at our base in Kilgoris will serve next to you, and will be available to answer questions. During the trips, we will hold informal classes about each area of ministry in which we engage. You will learn how to preach, move in great faith, how to implement festival strategies, processes and more.
WHY THE HARVEST INTERNSHIP?
THE FESTIVAL-LIFE EXPERIENCE
For 6 months Harvest interns will join our flagship festival team becoming a vital part of what makes our festivals run! They will help SOS mobilize entire cities for the Gospel through learning to lead preparation meetings with pastors and local team members and leading festival departments during festival weeks! As we go...we will learn in makeshift classrooms, working side-by-side with our leaders, preaching in every venue imaginable, healing the sick, casting out demons, serving the poor and laboring for the lost.
You don't need to have much experience, we will give you that. All you need is a servant's attitude, and a heart for the lost.
THE KILGORIS EXPERIENCE
After traveling across borders for the first 6 months of the internship, the last 1-2 months will be spent in Kilgoris, Kenya at our missions base and church learning under SOS Kilgoris church leadership, serving the church in various different capacities while having the opportunity to preach the gospel weekly, make one on one disciples, and will get to sit in on life-giving biblical teachings with our bible school class!
Oh also your backyard is Massai Mara, one of the wildest game reserves on the planet. It will be an adventure of a lifetime that will give eternal life to thousands.
THE FRONTIER EXPERIENCE
The heart of SOS Adventure is to reach the unreached. One of our efforts to do this is through our frontier missions. These are missions to all different nations in Africa. We target specific unreached people groups and travel far and wide through the bush to find them. During the internship you will take part in one of these trips where you will set up camp amongst the tribes and preach teh gospel to those who have never heard. What an adventure it will be!

Naomi
2023 Harvest Intern//Stockholm, Sweden
What did you learn during the internship?
I saw God move in the lives around me. Everyone is somehow part of God’s plans, no matter where they reside or come from - and in the internship, I saw God’s plans for His people in Africa being actualized, step by step. But most notably, I remember seeing Jesus in everyone’s eyes. His joy, the longing to serve Him, and even His absence was prominent in some eyes.

Why should someone do the internship?
“You should do the internship because you are tired of surface-level Christianity and want to learn what it really means to follow Jesus, not just with your words, but with your life. At Harvest Internship, you will learn quickly how to discern the will of God and to obey it. It will be a year that stretches you more than anything has before, but will also be the most fulfilling thing you’ve been part of yet.”
