The heartbeat of SOS has always been for the unreached. Over 30 years ago our ministry began in the bush of Kenya where Johannes preached under the trees to the Massai people. He preached the pure Gospel to those who had not heard and many gave their lives to Jesus, were baptized in the power of the Holy Spirt and went down to the river to be baptized in water.
In 2025 SOS Adventure launched Frontier Missions, an unreached people group effort set on crossing wild and cultural barriers throughout the continent of Africa to reach tribes with the Gospel, disciple them and help plant churches among them.
SOS Adventure’s Frontier missions span the entire African continent. We target specific unreached people groups and travel far and wide through the bush to find them. Departing from our SOS headquarters in Kilgoris, Kenya, our Frontier truck carries missionaries on journeys lasting several days to share the Good News. Whether in the blazing deserts of South Sudan or the Islamic strongholds of North Africa, we go, set up camp, and proclaim the gospel.
FRONTIER MISSIONS
On every Frontier trip we preach the Gospel among the unreached. As we go to these tribes we lead new believers to repentance and salvation, baptize them both in water and the Holy Spirit. We set up camp and take the time to teach them the Word of God through discipleship classes.
In each village we go to we raise up and disciple a person of peace to start the first church amongst these tribes and we send missionaries back throughout the year to check in and encourage the church.
